breathe YOUR name series

God’s Name, YHWH,  is a word that leads to no words.  It defies pronunciation, and yet its pronunciation is silence... living, breathing silence.   It is a word of pure breath, for it allows the passage of air into sound without any movements of the tongue or vocal cords.

To speak YHWH,  the ‘Y’ opens the throat and poises the mouth for speech, but the ‘H’ immediately leaves it open breath, then, with the ‘W’ the lips move toward one another, as if to ask a question - but are left open by the final ‘H.’  In the very act of breathing,  even through our noses, you can hear the name of God, YHWH.

In a field, a meadow, by a pond or trees, among the flowers, looking up to the sky, no matter where we go, we breathe the name of YHWH.  Be still, inhale . .  then exhale,  and listen in the silence, for in every breath is YHWH.
