The hand has been used over the ages not only has a symbol for energy and humanity, but also as a talisman to ward of all sorts of evil, disease and distraction.   Hands have been used for sign language, to communicate and to praise gods through a variety of cultures.

Spirals have presence in the human body through fingerprints, DNA and also represent, in some cultures, the movement of the soul unfolding. 

These two symbols together are a powerful representation of those wishing to make their mark in the world through their own, ‘personal stamp,” of artistic creation through hard work and individual revelation.
