This quilt 'cooked' for many years before I was inspired to finish it after hearing the song, "One Sweet World," by the Dave Matthews Band.  Whirl, the motion of the abstract shape, is play on the word 'world'... the turning world where we live.  There are two quotes written on it:

"This world is but a canvas to our imagination."
                                          Henry David Thoreau
