Basic Beading
Come from the back of the quilt.  In most cases, you'll be able to 'pop' the knot as it is in hand quilting to hide it.
Load the bead.  Use the needle to slide the needle snugly on the thread and stitch with the needle just slightly less than the end of the bead.
Gage the next bead stitch as you come up from the last attached bead.
Pull the thread through.
Give the thread a snug tug in the same direction as the
 bead to help it lay flat.
Take the next stitch.
 
When you need to tie off, do so with either a double knot or to singly place knots.  Again, in most cases, you be able hide the knot.
